The Girl Who Thinks in Pictures: Temple Grandin!

The Girl Who Thinks in Pictures: Temple Grandin!

If you don’t already know that major companies like Microsoft are actively looking for college graduates on the autism spectrum, you should do a bit of research to see for yourself!  Why?  Because they are looking for bright people who think outside the box.  People who see things from a different perspective.  It’s been a long time in coming, but our students/children with ASD continue to have more examples of how society is embracing them for who they are!

The way our students on the spectrum think is unique and often refreshing, delightful, honest and inventive.  This kind of thinking only adds to our world and should be celebrated!

This brings me to today’s topic.  A children’s book about one of ASD’s most famous personalities, Temple Grandin.  I recently discovered this book and thought you might want to share it with your child or students!

I purchased this for our autism library so that many students will have the opportunity to read this!  You might want it for you home or school library as well!

We all need someone to look up to!  Take a look!

The holidays are around the corner so stay tuned for some ideas to share with those you love!

You take care and I’ll see you next time!
