The Best Three Language Apps Ever for Students with Special Needs!

The Best Three Language Apps Ever for Students with Special Needs!

Is summer really coming to an end? Where did it go??? I’ve been to New York City, Seattle, Milwaukee and Columbus, plus I planned a wedding shower/luncheon and completed 44 hours of extended school year services for a couple of amazing kids! Whew!

Apps can be so cool when it comes to….well many things! One thing I love to do is to find ways to engage students in their learning.

REALLY GOOD APPS for language concepts are not as common as I’d like them to be. So I’m sharing three of my favorite ones with you!

One student I worked with this summer was often echolalic when I would ask her a question. I used the first app in this week’s video to help her answer appropriately. This app was so engaging that it kept her interest and she was motivated to answer my questions.

Before she could repeat what I said, I would write the answer to the question on my white board so that she could read the answer. It didn’t take long for her to understand that I didn’t want her to repeat after me, I wanted an answer to my question.

I could do who, where and what questions with this app plus a ton more language concepts! I think I played $3.99 for this app and it was totally worth it!
The other two apps are fun, colorful, engaging and a delight to work with. If you are an SLP, a parent, an educator you will LOVE these!!

Take a look at the video and see what you think!

By the way, you have given me great feedback on highlighting and actually demonstrating small number of apps so I’m going to plan app demos periodically just so you can see for yourself and decide if you need/want them or not!

Just a heads up! I’m about to launch a new product for those of you who live or work with aggressive children. So stay tuned and I’ll be announcing it here at Behavior Communicates first!

Keep cool and be cool with the language apps you learned about this week!!
