Palming for Calming: A Social Emotional Strategy for Young Children!

Palming for Calming: A Social Emotional Strategy for Young Children!

If you haven’t noticed, SEL or Social Emotional Learning is a fairly new buzzword in education today. Thank goodness!!!  Many school districts are educating the whole child with Social Emotional education instead of just focusing on academics.

With all the new brain research, so many people are finding ways to teach children to understand and regulate their emotions.  This is not only a plus for academics, but a plus for the emotional well-being of students.

Today, I’ve discovered a fun and simple strategy to help young children release stress and calm their emotions is just a few minutes.

Take a Look!

As we speak, I’m on yet another adventure to more learning about Orton-Gillingham reading programs!  You’ve seen me highlight the Wilson Reading Program.  I’m in the middle of a training for this so I can come back to my district and give them all the finer points of the program!  I can’t wait to share this tier 3 intervention for students with dyslexia!!!

You take care and I’ll see you next time!
