Do You Need a Tool to Help Get Your Student to Transition?

You just never know what’s going to work with any given student. For me, sometimes it’s been a bracelet turned into a superpower or a pillbox turned into a reinforcement treasure chest.  I think sometimes if you can have on hand something that surprises a student, something that is interesting or novel that he or she actually momentarily forgets why they were not being compliant in the first place!

That brings me to day’s idea to help you with those students who have a lagging skill of transitioning. Students often have this issue when they just don’t know how to quietly stop doing what they’re doing and move on to the next activity.  They want to keep doing what they are doing.  I know you’ve had this experience more times than you can count.

Today’s video gives you that little bit of a surprise, that novelty that just might make the difference.

Take a look!

Some other ideas on this tool’s use could be when you have your students at circle time or at morning meetingand they “pass the baton” to the next person to speak.  You could also use this when a student completes a task or gets an answer correct.  The uses are only limited to your imagination!  If you can’t think of more uses….ask your students!  They’ll come up with dozens of ideas for you!

Keep filling your toolbox with ideas and resources!

You take care and I’ll see you next time!
