Are You Looking for a Social Skills Book with Tons of Colorful Visuals?

Have you ever said, I wish there was something “out there” that would visually help my child or student understand how to be more socially appropriate with friends and family members?  I know I have!

Students on the autism spectrum do much better if they see what it means to be social. They need visual supports to understand how this mystery of personal interactions works.  Once they can visualize the social structure and how it works, it can help them to see the patterns and reasons behind what you and I take for granted when it comes to social understanding.

Joel Shaul has put together an incredible book that I can see will become one of my “go to” resources for teachers and families.  I just had to share!

Take a look!

I am so fortunate that Joel gave me a first look at his new book, even before it is available to the public!  I wanted to give you a heads up that it will be available to you in THREE days on Amazon for $24.95.  Mark Feb 21, 2020 on your calendar!  It’s well worth the price!

I’m planning to buy this for our autism library and will share it with our autism team at our next meeting!

Also, for my subscribers:  I just read this article, How More Teachers are Being Trained in the Science of Reading, and couldn’t help but feel hopeful for our struggling readers!

I have to admit that after reading this article, I was also disheartened to think that all of this time, we’ve not come together sooner as a group of educators to tackle the fact that 63% of our 4th graders in this country are below grade level in reading.

Take a look at this article and let me know what you think!

You take care and I’ll see you next time!
