A Must See To Help That Picky Eater!

A Must See To Help That Picky Eater!

I have worked with so many families who struggle with a child who won’t eat certain foods or who won’t eat almost anything! It’s heart breaking, stressful and a huge detriment to the child’s growth and development. I once had a student who would not eat anything except McDonald’s hot French fries.   This mother was panicked when she found out that McDonalds was not open on Christmas Day!!! She had no idea what her son would eat that day.

My own nephew, Noah, ate Gerber Graduates until he was well passed 2 and then when he started eating regular food, he ate oatmeal, spaghetti pasta with no sauce and chocolate milk.   That was it. It took years of persistence to expand his palate.

This kind of restrictive eating interferes more than you can imagine with everyday activities and does nothing but cause stress and worry for parents concerned with nutrition.

I have found some sources of hope for families who face these issues today. I wish that we had some of these options when Noah, who is now nineteen, was a little boy.

Take a look!

One other resource I did not mention in the video is Jessica Seinfeld’s book, Deceptively Delicious. She too has recipes in her book that she uses to hide pureed veggies in foods that are appealing to kids. She hides eggplant, squash and carrots in foods like chicken nuggets, mac and cheese and brownies. I’ve mentioned her book in a blog several years ago, but in today’s video you can see that I’ve found some more recent options that I thought you would appreciate!

Let me know what you think of the books I’ve mentioned. If you give them a try, I’d like to hear from you!

On a personal note, I’m preparing once again to be the MOB to our second daughter, Kathryn. I cannot wait to see our smart and beautiful daughter walk down the aisle!!! Once again, Jerry must prepare and deliver the FOB speech. He knocked it out of the park the last time, so I have no doubt that he’ll bring the house down with this one! We will welcome our second son-in-law to the family and we are thrilled!

Happy recipe hunting!

You take care and I’ll see you next time!
