A Great Book to Help with the Challenges of Leading Assistants in Your Room!

All instructional assistants are not made equal.  We have so many that are outstanding.  Some are even certified teachers or students who are working their way through college.  We have some assistants who have a family member with special needs so they bring a valuable perspective to our classrooms.

And then there are the assistants who have never worked with children with special needs or the assistants who just took the job to have a job.  It’s often hard to find that special person who is willing to work these very hard jobs with very little pay and is very good at it!

Good instructional assistants are golden.  Some would be golden if we had a way to help them get to a place of self-initiation and confidence.

I’ve found a resource that can help the educator who needs to turn things around and doesn’t know where to start!

Take a look!

For my subscribers, another book on leadership that would be worth your time is Simon Sinek’s book, Leaders Eat Last. Take a look at both of these resources, perhaps put them on your holiday gift list!  Then you’ll have something to read over your break!

Obviously these books are not just for the classroom teacher who works with assistants.  If you are an administrator or another kind of team leader, these resources may be just what you’ve been looking for!

Just a heads up, next week, Dec 11th will be my last post until after the holidays.  Everyone with be focused on fun and festivities I am sure!  Jerry and I will be back again after the first of the year to start 2019 off with a bang!

You take care and I’ll see you next time!

Carla
