One Way Parents of Children with Special Needs Can Ease the Financial Struggle

So many parents of children with special needs have financial issues that most of us can’t fathom. I have tried to imagine how I would handle it if I got called away from work as many times as we need to call parents to come to school to pick up a sick child or an out of control child. In addition, what about the child with special needs who needs to go to therapy or to a doctor’s appointment?   I honestly don’t know how I would be able to do the job I need to do and also meet my child’s needs.

The good news here is that there are options out there for families to take advantage of more now than ever before! There are the online businesses people have created for themselves. I personally have valued the information I gained from my online heroes like Marie Forleo, James Wedmore and Jay Boyer! These are all self made, widely successful individuals who make their own hours and create their own success. One was a bartender/dance instructor with no college experience, another was a bartender with a degree in film and the third was a carpenter whose 18-year business went belly up after the 2008 financial crisis. There are options, there are other ways to make money!

In today’s video, I offer yet another suggestion of a quick simple way to add some income to a family’s financial bottom line that doesn’t require a typical 9-5 time commitment!

Take a look!

Thank you for your patience as Jerry and I took a two-week break from the site. Our beautiful daughter, Kathryn got married on 7/7/17 to our wonderful new son-in-law, Jason. It was the perfect day!!!

We are back now in the swing of things and gearing up for the rest of this very short summer and looking ahead to the start of a new school year!

As you know, I do some conferences each year and it’s around this time that I begin to schedule those. I currently have 2 openings left that I can commit to, so if your business, parent group or your school district are interested in having me in for a presentation, now is the time to contact me to work that out!

I just signed up for the Sarah Ward conference, Learn it Today, Use it Tomorrow, sponsored by Indiana Resource Center for Autism on Oct 4th. Here is the link!

She’s an expert on Executive Functioning and if you are any where near Indiana, you won’t want to miss it! You can sign up on their site!

As always, I would love to hear from you! Leave your comments below or contact me to schedule a workshop!

You take care and I’ll see you next time!
