It recently dawned on me that, after 188 videos, I had not done a video specifically for students with low vision in mind! In today’s video, you will see a wonderfully simple tool that both parents and teachers can use to engage students who have low vision, BUT it will work with other students with a variety of challenges who happen to spend time in a wheelchair.
Parents and grandparents of students who have multiple disabilities have asked me in the past for ideas of what to get their child/grandchild for the holidays. I have often recommended an iPad or a Step X Step for both communication and cause and effect options. Today I’ve got another idea.
Once you see this material, you may want to check out Abilitations or contact that person in your life who is good with a saw and drill!
Take a look!
If you have something that you LOVE using with your students who use a wheelchair, please share!!! I really enjoy it when the great ideas go racing through cyber-space!
Hope all is well! You take care and I’ll see you next time!
