I’ve been in special education classrooms long enough to know that when the gym is not available, when the weather is too hot or too cold or when the kids just NEED TO MOVE you need OPTIONS!!!
You can get the parachute out, you can get the mini trampoline out, you can start the music and dance or play musical chairs but wouldn’t it be nice to have something that would help the kids get moving, keep them engaged and even teach some vocabulary, language concepts and geography at the same time?
You’ve got it! It’s called Adventure To Fitness! In today’s video I’m going to show you a quick sample of how fun, delightful and educational Mr. Marc and his adventures can be!!!!
Take a look!
If you are one of my Central Indiana subscribers, it’s that time of year again when you can apply for a grant from Answers for Autism!!! The deadline is October 15th. It’s just a two- page document that you fill out along with the items that you want for your students. Just go online and google Answers for Autism. When you get to the home page click on the GRANT tab and you’ll see the application. DO IT!!! Take action now!! You won’t regret it 🙂
I have had NINE of my teachers win anywhere from $1,200 to $3,000 in grant money to put toward their classrooms. That’s a lot of money just for people I know, right?
For those of you who work with children with autism and need some help/support with materials for your classroom/sensory room/technology then this is the grant for you!!!
Ok so my teacher success number currently stands at NINE so if you win a grant this year, PLEASE let me know so that I can add you to my list of successful grant recipients!!!
Have fun with fitness and go for the grant!!! I need to give a shout out to Erin Diefendorf for sharing Adventure To Fitness with me!! Thanks Erin!!!
Take care and I’ll see you next time!!
