I don’t know about you, but I’m always on the hunt for materials that deal with inferences. I’m also forever looking for Apps that are appropriate for older students. In today’s video you are going to get both!!!
In the book, Drawing a Blank, by Emily Lland, the author is both an educator and a parent of a child on the autism spectrum. She points out that our children on the spectrum have issues with reading comprehension for a number of reasons. One being difficulty with making inferences. It’s an abstract concept that requires a skill that our students struggle with.
I have used both of the apps I demo in the video and feel that they are both quite beneficial in moving students forward in their ability to manipulate language.
Take a look!
I want to take a moment and give a shout out to all of you who have watched, shared, tweeted, and offered your supportive comments about last week’s video on Angie Cain and the Village of Merici!!! The views are coming in at a record setting pace and we’re all excited.
Angie’s story is bringing hope and light to families far beyond my expectations. My hope is that her dream can inspire others to dream. Perhaps this video will serve to plant a seed in the hearts of other families to create a wonderful future for their children here in the states and the 50 + countries that Behavior Communicates reaches.
Truly a season of thanksgiving!
Take care and I’ll see you next time!
