I love all of the sensory options out there these days! I have actually spent time helping our staff make our own homemade sensory toys like sensory bottles made from water bottles with corn syrup and glitter inside. Every now and then I run across a sensory item that is so cool, that buying it makes sense. I want to share with you today something that one of my teachers ordered and I had to grab it to show you!
Take a look!
As you can see this item is simple, fun, appealing, interactive, and has great OT components! Just another idea for you to use with your students who need that sensory input!
Often times, parents and grandparents are at a loss of what to buy a child with significant disabilities for a birthday or holiday. This sensory toy or something like it could be that calming item that is perfect for the child.
On a personal note, I wanted to share a wonderful celebration that we had over the weekend in Milwaukee, WI. Our daughter, Kathryn just graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University’s Physician Assistant program!!! It was an amazing, emotional, and over the top proud moment for me and the rest of our family. Just had to share!
Now back to business!!! I would love to hear about your sensory finds and I know my subscribers would love it too.
You take care and I’ll see you next time!
